A shopper has been left horrified after opening her latest Shein order to discover some creepy creatures inside.
In a TikTok clip, she revealed she found three live worms after opening bags sent by the budget Chinese e-commerce site.
“I can’t define it”
“I can make money now,” she wrote over footage of the creepy crawlies, which are about 5cm long, squirming around on a plate.
In the comments section, she said she “screamed so hard” and she “swears it’s true, I can’t slander.”
She also vowed never to order from the website again.
“I threw the packages out and they fell on my feet and on the ground,” she told them The US Sun.
“I contacted Shein. Unfortunately they told me in the email that it is not their fault and they are not responsible
“They won’t give me my money back at all, which is bad.”
A reverse image Google search reveals that the worms are Giant Mealorms or Zophobas Morius.
They are often used by zoos or people with pets to feed animals such as lizards, spiders or scorpions.
“I’m afraid”
“OK, yeah, just emptied my cart right away,” one viewer replied.
“I’m crying now as my package comes out for delivery,” wrote another.
“I’m afraid,” said a third, “I just ordered from there.”
“This is another sign I shouldn’t buy from Shein,” said another viewer.
“Gas I just gasped,” writes someone else, while another adds: “I’m screaming.”
“I’m going to open all my packages outside from now on,” someone else agreed.
And it looks like it wasn’t an isolated incident.
“This happened to me, but with different types of defects. I am literally dead!!!!!” shared a user.
“Mine came moldy,” revealed another.
Shain will answer
A spokesperson for Shein said US Sun: “When we received the customer’s request, we started an immediate investigation.
“This showed that when the package completed our quality control process and left our facility, it contained only the Shein ordered items.
“We are in contact with the customer and have offered a full refund.”
